Our first collaboration with the farm Villa Teresa, driven by Martha Rodriguez Ospina.

Martha Rodriguez Ospina is the eldest among seven siblings in the Rodriguez Ospina family, consisting of three women and four men. She is a single mother and the family's head, representing the third generation of coffee growers. The coffee tradition began 80 years ago when her grandfather started cultivating coffee in the region. The land passed to Martha's parents, who then inherited it to their seven children.

Due to the farm's small size, Martha decided to transition from traditional coffee varieties to the high-value Geisha variety for better income and profitability. She learned to grow and process Geisha coffee to compete in the specialty market. In 2021, with her brothers' help, she introduced natural processing and developed an anaerobic fermentation protocol to enhance coffee complexity.

Martha is a well-respected figure in her community known for her spirit of solidarity. She uses a portion of her coffee sales to help those in need, supporting nursing homes, aiding individuals with medical expenses, and collaborating with local schools.
