Manager

Revolver @ Electronics Arts, is seeking a Full Time Manager with extensive coffee industry experience to lead and operate its two kiosks at the Electronic Arts Canadian Headquarters in Burnaby.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the day-to-day operations of the two cafes on site are smooth, high throughput and high quality, filling in the gaps where needed.
  • Improve and document ad hoc processes to continually make the operation of both stores seamless and consistent.
  • Handle staff schedule and hiring across the two on-campus kiosks.
  • Serve as an educator and inspirational, committed and responsible leader to your staff.
  • Collaborate and interface with Restaurant Associates General Manager and EA’s Facilities team where necessary.

You

  • Extensive experience in the specialty coffee industry proficient in most brew methods, espresso preparation (dialing in, shots, steaming, latte art, cleaning), tasting and evaluating coffee.
  • Have demonstrated experience building high performing, autonomous teams that love what they do and who they work with.
  • Align with the idea that leadership is a behavior and not a position; that the lowest form of leadership is position and the highest form is influence.
  • Possess excellent communication skills that help you deal with customer issues expediently and gracefully and with staff uniquely and productively.
  • Have experience training and orienting new staff from cashier to full barista to supervisor like roles.
  • Accountable and organized: things that need to get done are recorded and completed in a timely manner.
  • Challenger mindset: Know how to take messy, difficult, undocumented tasks and find a way to the goal line while bringing up everybody else with you along the way.
  • Believe people perform best when empowered and favor delegation over micro management.
  • Have the ability to engage with customers and develop relationships from short daily interactions.

Barista

Revolver @ Electronics Arts, is seeking full time baristas to work onsite at the Electronic Arts Canadian Headquarters in Burnaby.

You'll be expected to work confidently with customers on the cash register and espresso equipment guiding them through our diverse coffee menu in a professional manner. You'll be fully trained and expected to execute cup-to-cup excellence consistently and quickly across all brewing methods.
