We are thrilled to present Makena Farm, situated in Kirinyaga County on the gently rising slope of Mt. Kenya. Japheth Mwaura owns and manages the 34 acre farm. Moderate rainfall and temperatures, typically ranging from 55 to 79 F, and deep red volcanic loam offer ideal growing conditions to produce the unique tongue-coating, sweet blackberry notes for which Kenya is famed.
