Prodigal is proud to present two new Cup Of Excellence winning lots from Ethiopia! This is lot #17, Tafo Natural, named for producer Tafo Hero Gurajche. We love this coffee's rich citrus, tropical fruits, and bright acidity.
Hailing from Sidama region, 38 year-old Tafo has been farming coffee for 17 years, nearly his entire adult life. From his COE profile: "Married with seven children, Tafo considers coffee to be a vital part of his life. For him, coffee is not just an occupation but a lifeline that sustains his family and
community."
These award winning coffees have been tasted hundreds of times, by both domestic and international judging panels, as they traveled through the rigorous COE process. Cup Of Excellence winning coffees are quite uncommon in the US, and this is a rare opportunity to taste multiple winning Ethiopian coffees in one place.
