The Big Idea: If you're looking for a home / office coffee brewer, this is the one. Moccamaster / Technivorm coffee makers are Handmade in the Netherlands and is a SCA Certified Brewer. They look great on the counter and are fun to watch while it brews, and the machine is the Gold Standard for Auto Brewers.
The Details:
The SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) 'Golden Cup' Approval is given when a brewer performs within the ideal ranges of the four T's of coffee brewing, which the Moccamaster does.
- Temperature
- Time
- Turbulence
- Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)
Perhaps the most notable feature is the brew temp, which heats and maintains the water at proper brew temperatures of 196-205 F (95-98C) during the brewing process.
The KGBY Select has a special switch that allows you to adjust the flow rate so you can brew a half or full carafe, as well as a hot plate to keep coffee warm (which you can also turn off after brewing).

The machine comes with 4 filters, so make sure to grab refills! It uses #4 Filters, which you can buy from us here, or you can use commonly found Melitta #4 Filters from any supermarket / drug store.
